LienDeadline agent skill

Give your AI agent a lien deadline playbook

It asks for the facts that matter, gets each date from LienDeadline and cites the statute. Works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and other Agent Skills readers.

What the skill does

A routine your agent follows every time

Asks the right questions
State, project type, who hired you, first and last delivery dates, and yes, no or unknown answers about events that can move a deadline.
Gets the dates from LienDeadline
Uses the LienDeadline tools when they're connected, or the public API directly. No account or key.
Shows its work
Every deadline comes with its status, the statute behind it, and any warnings or assumptions.
Flags instead of guessing
A missing fact, an unknown answer or an uncovered case returns “needs review” with the reason, never a made-up date.
Points you to the rules
Links the state's lien guide so you and your counsel can check the details.

Example

An unknown fact is flagged, not guessed

A follow-up on a Florida job where the supplier doesn't know one fact.

Prompt

Same job, but I don't know whether the owner made final payment. What changes?

The Notice to Owner is not calculated and needs review because the owner's final-payment disbursement is not established; the claim of lien deadline is still calculated as Dec 9, 2026, under Fla. Stat. § 713.08(5).
Real output from the hosted connector, October 2026. An educational baseline, not legal advice.

Coverage

What it calculates today

The skill checks what's live for your project, so you never get a date for a state that isn't ready.

Calculated supplier deadlines
Preliminary notice and lien filing for Florida and Kansas private projects.
More states
Added as each state's reviewed rules are released.
Everything else
Returns “needs review” with the reason: other states, public projects and any deadline that depends on a fact you don't know.
Lien guides
All 50 states and DC, with statute citations.
Invoice-based deadlines
Available with a customer API key through the local MCP server.

Privacy and safety

Plain instructions, only the facts it needs

  • Read-only. It never sends notices, files liens or makes payments.
  • No account or key. The skill, the hosted tools and the public API work without sign-in.
  • Only the facts it needs. State, delivery dates, project type, who hired you and your yes, no or unknown answers. Nothing is stored between requests.
