4. Third-Party Services
4.1 Payment Processing
We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe handles all credit card data and is PCI DSS compliant. We do not store or have access to your full credit card numbers.
4.2 Email Services
We use Resend to send transactional emails (welcome emails, password resets, notifications). Your email address is shared with Resend solely for email delivery.
4.3 Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Umami Analytics to understand how our service is used. These services use cookies and collect anonymized usage data.
When enabled, PostHog receives aggregate server-side usage events: public page sections, skill document and discovery requests, API operations and outcomes, and hosted MCP tool names, error categories and response times. This capture does not use browser cookies, session replay or person profiles. We exclude submitted project facts, tool results, emails, account credentials, client IP addresses, query strings and raw client headers from these events. Event identifiers are random and do not identify a person.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Database: PostgreSQL on Google Cloud SQL with encryption at rest and IAM-authenticated service access
- Authentication: Better Auth with signed HTTP-only session cookies and Argon2id password hashing
- Encryption: All data transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
- Passwords: Hashed using bcrypt before storage
- Backups: Regular automated backups with 30-day retention

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. For more details, see our Cookie Policy.
8. Data Retention
- User Accounts: Retained until you request deletion

- API Logs: Retained for 90 days for security monitoring
9. AI Agent Tools and Connectors
AI assistants can use LienDeadline through the hosted connector at https://mcp.liendeadline.com/mcp, the open-source liendeadline-mcp server that runs on your own computer, and the LienDeadline agent skill. None of them needs an account, and none of them sends notices, files liens or makes payments.
9.1 What the Tools Receive
- Deadline calculations: the project facts your assistant submits: state, delivery dates, project type, who hired the supplier, whether deliveries are complete, and yes, no or unknown answers about specific project events, with an event's date when the answer is yes. The tools accept only these structured fields; they have no free-text field.
- State guides: a state code.
- Customer API tools (local server only): invoice facts and your customer API key, which is sent only as an authorization header to our API.
Your AI assistant decides what to send based on your conversation. Its provider handles your conversation under its own privacy policy.
9.2 How We Use It
We use these inputs only to calculate the requested deadlines or return the requested guide. The public calculation endpoint and the hosted connector are stateless: they do not save the submitted facts or keep a history of your requests.
9.3 Logs and Retention
- Hosted connector: its own log records only the HTTP method, response status and response time of each request, never the tool inputs. Our hosting provider, Google Cloud, also records each request's URL, client IP address, user agent and time. We use the IP address in memory to apply per-client rate limits. These logs are kept for 30 days.
- Local server and agent skill: the open-source server runs on your computer, has no direct telemetry and stores nothing. The agent skill contains instructions only. Requests they send to our API are handled as described in this policy; a constant client marker may distinguish MCP and direct skill requests in aggregate analytics.
9.4 Sharing and Your Choices
We do not sell this data or share it with advertisers; Google Cloud processes it as our hosting provider, and PostHog processes the aggregate usage events described above when enabled. You can remove the connector from your assistant at any time. Because the connector has no accounts, a request can be linked to you only through the IP address in the hosting logs. To ask about those logs, contact privacy@liendeadline.com.
