LienDeadline vs Levelset
By LienDeadlineComparison data verified: We publish this comparison about our own product. Sources and limitations are included below.
Consider Levelset if…
You want one provider to help monitor jobs, research project parties and send or file documents. Ask Levelset to demonstrate the full workflow for your states, rather than buying on a calculator comparison alone.
Consider LienDeadline if…
You already know who prepares and files your documents. Your immediate need is a shared view of deadlines and reminders, with published plan limits and a self-serve starting point.

What you get when Levelset handles more of the work
If your notice process breaks down between “we know the date” and “the document went out,” start with that gap. Levelset’s lien-rights workflow brings together alerts, project research, bulk documents and filing services. A cheaper tracking subscription will not replace work your team still needs someone to do.
Levelset also connects to accounting data. Its QuickBooks integration documentation describes sharing project and receivables information. The useful demo question is how incomplete job details, duplicate projects and changing delivery dates are handled, not simply whether an integration logo appears on the website.
Attorney-drafted documents and access to attorneys can be useful, but ask what is actually included. A template is not an attorney’s review of your claim, and a referral is not legal representation. Get the scope and any separate legal fees in writing.
When a separate deadline workspace makes sense
A supplier may already have counsel, a notice service and someone who owns filing. In that situation, adding another full-service provider can duplicate a working process. LienDeadline is a narrower purchase: keep the project, its saved dates and the reminder workflow together, while the existing provider handles documents.
Check coverage before comparing price. The public calculator’s supported scope is reviewed Florida and Kansas supplier scenarios. Other states return a review-required result. The state guides cover all 50 states plus DC, but a guide’s existence does not mean an automated date is available for every project.
A sensible trial starts with a few real projects whose dates your team has already checked. Compare the facts entered, the returned assumptions, the saved record and the reminder. Then agree who acts on that reminder and where the filing receipt goes. That handoff matters whichever software you choose.
Pricing and what it buys
Prices are in US dollars, checked 4 October 2026. Compare the billing unit and included work, then confirm current terms with the provider.
Levelset
- Levelset’s document selector lists notices and payment warnings at $59 per recipient. Multiple recipients can change the total.
- A separate published Protection Plan page advertises $959 per year, including one lien and tracking for up to 10 jobs. Confirm that this offer is still available and what additional filings cost.
- Request a quote for the broader platform and the service volume you need. Do not treat the Protection Plan as its universal subscription price.
LienDeadline
- Free Connected: $0/month, with 3 protected items per month; no sync-back or API key access.
- Tracker: $49/month, or $39/month billed annually. Includes 10 protected items per month, saved projects, deadline history, email reminders and 2 internal users.
- Automation: $149/month, or $129/month billed annually. Includes 100 active protected items, 1,000 import/API/private Zapier events per month, 5 internal users, Procore sync, sync-back and API access.
- QuickBooks sync is listed on every plan, subject to account access and setup. Zapier is a private integration; public promotion is pending.
- Enterprise: custom pricing and limits. Document mailing, service and lien recording are not included.
Before you switch away from Levelset
- List the services you currently use: tracking, owner research, notice mailing, recording and legal support. Keep a named owner for each one.
- Compare a full year of subscription, recipients, filings and implementation charges. A tracking plan and a filing package buy different amounts of work.
- Keep existing reminders running until you have checked the imported jobs and agreed which system holds the working deadline record.
Common questions
Is LienDeadline a full Levelset replacement?
Only if the part you need to replace is deadline tracking and the supported workflow fits your projects. LienDeadline does not mail notices or record liens. Keep a filing provider or counsel for those tasks.
Does Levelset offer QuickBooks integration and reminders?
Yes. Levelset’s public materials describe both accounting integration and deadline alerts. Compare setup, coverage, service responsibilities and total cost rather than assuming these features are unique to LienDeadline.
Which is cheaper for a small supplier?
There is no single answer. LienDeadline has published monthly plans; Levelset combines document charges, a separately advertised Protection Plan and sales-led platform pricing. Count the notices, recipients, filings and users you actually need before comparing totals.
Can I keep Levelset for filing and use LienDeadline for tracking?
You can divide responsibilities that way, but this is a proposed workflow, not a claim of a native integration between the two. Decide who transfers project facts, checks dates and saves proof of service so work is not duplicated or missed.
