Notice delivery is real work
Preparing a document is only part of the job. Someone still has to identify recipients, arrange delivery and keep the evidence. SunRay advertises notice services and USPS tracking. If those steps are consuming staff time or falling between people, include them in the buying decision.
SunRay also monitors deadlines. Its pricing page includes upcoming-deadline notifications at every level, and its enterprise offering describes Excel upload and API integration. It would be misleading to compare an automated LienDeadline workflow with an imagined SunRay process where everything is retyped.
Its public deadline calculator is marketed for all 50 states. That is broader advertised geographic coverage than LienDeadline’s public supplier calculations. Try the actual project type and review the contact-information requirements before treating either tool as your default research step.
Decide what you need to track before you price it
Suppose your office already uses a notice service reliably, but the credit team keeps its working list in separate spreadsheets. A deadline workspace may help bring those records together. First check whether your current provider’s monitoring already solves the problem; paying for two overlapping lists can create more work.
LienDeadline’s paid plans provide saved projects, history and email reminders. QuickBooks sync is listed on every plan, subject to account access and setup. The Automation plan adds Procore sync, API access and private Zapier workflows. The integration overview is the place to check how your data would enter the system.
Keep the calculation limit separate from the tracking features. The public calculator supports reviewed Florida and Kansas supplier scenarios. A state guide, an imported invoice or an active subscription does not establish that an unsupported project has a verified deadline. Use the coverage page before trying a sample job.
Pricing and what it buys
Prices are in US dollars, checked 4 October 2026. Compare the billing unit and included work, then confirm current terms with the provider.
SunRay
- Published notice bands: $35 plus postage for 0–30 notices a month; $25 plus postage for 30–100; custom pricing at 100 or more. The published boundaries overlap, so confirm the rate at 30 or 100.
- SunRay lists no monthly, membership or setup fee. Upcoming-deadline notifications are included in each published tier.
- These are notice rates, not a universal price for lien recording, bond claims or every other document. Ask for the total for your service, recipients and postage.
LienDeadline
- Free Connected: $0/month, with 3 protected items per month; no sync-back or API key access.
- Tracker: $49/month, or $39/month billed annually. Includes 10 protected items per month, saved projects, deadline history, email reminders and 2 internal users.
- Automation: $149/month, or $129/month billed annually. Includes 100 active protected items, 1,000 import/API/private Zapier events per month, 5 internal users, Procore sync, sync-back and API access.
- QuickBooks sync is listed on every plan, subject to account access and setup. Zapier is a private integration; public promotion is pending.
- Enterprise: custom pricing and limits. Document mailing, service and lien recording are not included.
Ask these questions in a SunRay demo
- Which jobs enter monitoring, and how do changes to dates or parties reach the system?
- What does the notice price include, and what postage, recipient or document charges are added?
- Can your team easily retrieve the sent document, delivery evidence and next deadline from the same job record?
Common questions
Does SunRay track deadlines, or only send notices?
SunRay advertises both. Its pricing tiers include upcoming-deadline notifications, and its platform offers project monitoring. Evaluate that workflow before adding a separate tracking subscription.
Does LienDeadline mail notices?
No. LienDeadline provides deadline estimates, tracking and document tooling. You, counsel or a separate service remain responsible for sending, serving and recording documents.
Is SunRay’s $35 price the cost to file a lien?
The published $35-plus-postage rate is a notice rate in its lower-volume band. It is not a general lien-filing quote. Confirm the document, recipients and total charges for your project.
Can I use both services?
You can use separate tracking and mailing providers, but first check for duplicated monitoring. Set a clear process for handing over project facts, confirming dates and storing delivery evidence. This page does not claim a native connection between the two products.
